Difference between Flatbread and Paratha:
The Paratha is a layered version of Roti that is layered with Ghee. The Bread is also like pan-fried with Ghee on the Tawa. Flatbread is traditionally made from very finely milled Whole Wheat "Flatbread Flour" and tend to be thin and papery. Paratha is a North Indian flatBread that may be stuffed or not.

Paratha Roti made of:
Paratha Roti, sometimes called “oil” Roti, is generally made with five Ingredients, Flour, salt, Water, baking powder, and oil (or some other type of Fat). The oil is incorporated into the Dough, rolled thinly, and then cooked on a cast iron skillet.

How can I keep Flatbread soft for 2 days:
Wrap the Flatbreads in foil; place them in an airtight container and freeze them to keep them fresh for a week. Place the Flatbreads in a "ziploc bag", by placing Butter paper in between them and freeze them. Don't store all the Flatbreads together; store in portions as you can use each portion according to your needs.




Why are my Flatbreads Hard:
The consistency of the Dough Too Hard (tight) Dough will make it difficult to roll and the Flatbread will be Hard too. If the Dough is loose (contains more Water than necessary, you will need to use more dry Flour while rolling which can make Flatbread Hard.

How much is Flour for 6 Rotis:
Prepare The Dough. Measure out the Whole Wheat Flour. Take a small bowlful for 4-6 Flatbreads. The number will depend on how large/thin you want them.

How do you keep Flatbreads soft:
You can apply a small amount of Fat (Ghee/Butter) on the Roti to remain soft even after a long period of time. Once the Flatbreads are to the room temperature, wrap it in aluminum foil and this will stay fresh for 12 hours.




Can Flatbread Dough stay overnight:
A freshly prepared Dough if kept in the refrigerator at night doesn't get stale for use in the morning in fact it can be used to prepare the Rotis for more than one day assuming the refrigerator is working properly. One can also add a little bit of Flour while Preparing Rotis to make the Dough more pliable.

What is Flatbread called in English:
Flatbread also known as Roti in English is called Bread or Indian Bread. It can also can be called Tortilla, a Spanish word.

Cover The Dough Surface With Oil/Ghee:
You can also prevent your Dough from spoiling by covering it with a thin layer of oil or Ghee before placing it your container and refrigerating it. The grease may prevent blackening and drying of the Flour, keeping it soft and fresh for the next batch of Flatbreads.

Roti and Flatbread are both unleavened Wheat-Flour Breads rolled out much thinner than naan and cooked on a Tawa, or flat griddle. Keep the rolling board and rolling pin ready. Keep a bowl of dry Flour and a bowl of Ghee to apply on the Roti once it is ready. You want to roll and cook the Roti's at the same time, so the rolled Dough does not become dry. Make small balls from the Dough by rotating between your palms.
