it is a good profitable business.
What can I use instead of Tomato Sauce:
To substitute Tomato Paste for one Cup of Tomato Sauce, mix ¾ Cup Tomato Paste with
1 Cup water and then season with Salt, if needed. One can substitute canned Tomatoes
for the Sauce by blending 1 Cup canned, stewed Tomatoes with water until it reaches
a smooth consistency. Tomato juice is a good Sauce substitute.
Can you make Tomato Sauce from Ketchup: Ketchup:
Use one Cup of Ketchup in place of one Cup of Tomato Sauce. Add Spices to tweak the
Flavor as needed. A bit of basil is a good choice. Then, cut one of the wet Ingredients
in the recipe back by 1/4 Cup to account for the extra liquid.
How can I make my Tomato Sauce thicker:
There are a few things you can do to thicken your Sauce:
Simmer - you can simmer the Sauce at a low heat for quite a long time without affecting
the Flavour (generally improves it). Thicken - add 1-2 tbsp of corn starch
(or flour tempered).
What is the difference between Tomato Ketchup and Tomato Sauce:
Ketchup is made with Tomatoes, Sugar, Vinegar/Acetic acid and Spices. Whereas, Tomato
Sauce is made from Tomatoes, Oil, Meat or Vegetable stock and Spices. Another
major point of difference between the two is, Sauce generally does not contain Sugar
while Ketchup has a specific amount of Sugar and other sweet Spices.
How long should you Cook Tomato Sauce:
How long to Cook the Sauce? I give a Cooking range of 30 minutes to 90 minutes
(1 1/2 hours). Shorter Cooking times will yield a thinner Sauce with a Fresher
Tomato Flavor; longer Cooking times will thicken your Sauce and give it a
Cooked Flavor.
