Nails Manufacturing

Nails Manufacturing Nails are most important in construction industry, for fixing windows, doors etc. Another metal related business that an investor can start manufacturing of nails. There is a huge market for manufacturing nails, you don’t need only virgin metals to produce nails.

You can leverage on metal recycling to produce your construction nails; it is cheaper to follow that route. you can as well export your nails to other countries of the world.

How nails are manufactured: Nails are made by feeding a thick, continuous steel wire into a machine where the wire is gripped between two dies and is cut to the desired length. Sufficient metal to form the head is allowed to protrude from the dies at one end and is then flattened into a head by a blow from a mechanized hammer.

Where are nails made: Nails start in the nail root, hidden under the cuticle. When cells at the root of the nail grow, the new nail cells push out the old nail cells. These old cells flatten and harden, thanks to keratin, a protein made by these cells. The newly formed nail then slides along the nail bed, the flat surface under your nails.

How old are square nails: Cross sections of pre-1800 nails are generally square; shanks from 1800-1890 are rectangular; modern shanks are round. The earliest forged nails are identified by their irregular shanks and hammer marks on both shanks and heads.

What are common nails: Common nails are used for general construction and specifically for framing and other structural work. They have a thick shank, a wide head, and a diamond-shaped point. They are most commonly used with 2 x dimensional lumber.

Which metal is used to make the nails: Nails are most commonly used to fasten pieces of wood together, but they are also used with plastic, drywall, masonry, and concrete. Nails are usually made of steel but can also be made of stainless steel, iron, copper, aluminum, or bronze.

What kind of nails do not rust: Galvanized steel nails will eventually rust (use stainless steel nails to completely prevent rust), but the galvanization (zinc coat) will prolong the nail's lifespan - as compared to non-coated alternatives.

Are nails made of zinc: Galvanized nails are zinc coated nails. They are nails that have been dipped into molten zinc to acquire a zinc coating. They will be compatible with zinc strips.

Is galvanized steel rust proof: Galvanized steel is regular steel sheets that have been coated in zinc to make them corrosion resistant. Regular steel is made of iron which will rust when exposed to moisture, either in the form of rain or ambient humidity. Over time rust will corrode a steel part to the point of failure.
